Fleurex 2026

What a weekend! We just got back from FleurEx, the big annual event put on by the British Florist Association. We spent the last couple of days meeting the top industry providers from Ireland and Britain. It was such an exciting trip for all of us here at kays flower school, especially Mr kay who had a ball and enjoyed his celebrity status, everyone was so kind to him

FleurEx is known as a huge meeting place for people who love working with flowers. This year, it took place at the East Midlands Conference Centre. The venue was packed with bright colours, amazing smells, and so much creativity and fun.

Walking around the exhibition hall, we got to see the best flower and plant suppliers from Holland & the United Kingdom and Ireland. We talked to growers and product makers who provide the best tools and stems for our trade. It was great to chat face to face and see all the new products coming out soon.

We spent lots of time exploring the interactive spaces like The Flower Lab and The Plant Lab. These areas let us try out cool new techniques and see fresh trends up close. We also picked up some smart business tips to help our students who want to change careers and start their own flower businesses.

One of the best parts was watching the live competitions, including the UK Florist of the Year final. Seeing such talented people create wonderful art so quickly was very inspiring.

We took so many pictures over the weekend. Scroll down to see all the lovely snaps of the displays, the friendly people we met, and the wonderful atmosphere from the event. If you are thinking about joining us to learn how to work with flowers, this is the exact community you get to be a part of!

As you now we were finalists in the Industry Awards with the British Florist Association, and we a went to the Gala awards dinner which was so much fun, we win the award but we were at a table and in a room full of amazing winners, we were thrilled to reach the final and congratulations to Coleg Cambria on taking the top prize, well deserved.
