How to get Can Get Funding to Train as a Florist if you are unemployed in Ireland

Are you looking for a fresh start? If you are a woman in Ireland currently receiving a social welfare payment, you might be able to get funding to train as a professional florist. What is the Training Support Grant (TSG)?

The Training Support Grant is designed to help jobseekers get quick access to short term training. It is there to help you overcome an obstacle that might be stopping you from taking up a job offer or starting a new career.

Who is Eligible?

If you are receiving any of the following, you may be eligible to apply:

  • Jobseeker’s Allowance or Jobseeker’s Benefit

  • One Parent Family Payment

  • Disability Allowance

  • Illness Benefit (for 6 months or more)

  • Widow's/Widower's Pension

  • Qualified Adult of a Jobseeker’s payment

Simple Steps to Follow for Your TSG Application

Getting the process started is straightforward. Just follow these steps:

  • Contact your local INTREO office: Reach out to your case officer. Let them know you have found a professional training course that will help you gain employment.

  • Request the form: Ask for the "Accreditation of Provider and Training Form."

  • Send it to us: Once you have the form, email it to info@kaysflowerschool.com

  • We will do the paperwork: Deirdre will complete our part of the form, including a official quote for the training, and send it back to your INTREO office.

  • Wait for approval: Your INTREO office will review the application and be in touch with you directly to let you know if you have been approved.

  • The Approval Form: If approved, you will receive an Approval/Verification Form in the post. This is essentially your cheque.

  • Finalise your place: Once you receive that form, please forward it to us along with any remaining balance of your course fees to secure your spot.
